The Jack Halloran Singers
Silent Night
From the counter
Everyone assumes a carol this old came pre-recorded, but somebody had to go first, and our files credit a vocal group called The Jack Halloran Singers in 1957, half a century before Taylor got to it. Play theirs, then hers, and listen to Gruber and Mohr's song travel.
Liner notes
Written by Franz Xaver Gruber, Josef Mohr.
First recorded by The Jack Halloran Singers in 1957.
Also recorded by Perry Como (1968).
