What we keep

and what we do with it
Playing

A random token on your device owns a handle, a pseudonym. Your threads, the records you keep, the notes you leave and the cuts you pull first are tied to that handle and are public by default, like a record collection on a shelf; the crate screen has a switch to make yours private.

Signing in

If you ask for a sign-in link we keep your email address. We use it to send the link, and, if you leave the box ticked, for the week's room and the occasional new cut. Every such mail has an unsubscribe link, and the crate screen has the same switch. Sign-in mail goes through Resend.

Measuring

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record how the game is used, including session replays, so we can see where it stumbles. Thirty-second previews and artwork come from Apple Music, videos from YouTube, facts from MusicBrainz and the Rabbit Hole Records crate.

Your say

We do not sell any of this. To be forgotten, or to take a note or a thread down, write to the clerk through the feedback form from the device that holds your crate, and it is done by hand within a few days.

Last changed October 13, 2026, when we started keeping addresses. Before that only a fingerprint of the address was kept.
